Vulcain Cricket Jumbo 38mm Cal. 120

Regular price €0,00

It's not often we meet a specific model of a brand to be so famous as the Cricket by Vulcain.
And rightfully so, because here we have the first wrist alarm ever created, and as everyone knows the infamous "President's watch".
It was in 1947, after five years of research and development, that the mechanical hand-wound Cricket caliber, equipped with two barrels, was introduced.
Calibre 120 Crickets stayed in production until 1963 when they were replaced by the MSR-S2 mechanism.

On offer is a seldom seen Stainless Steel oversized 38mm excluding the crown (41mm w/crown) Cricket of that era.
Case well preserved and unpolished, with a few light signs of wear but no bad marks or corrosion anywhere.
Excellent lugs!
Original crown and alarm pusher.
Crystal is new and replaced in its last service, but the replaced one comes with the watch as well.
Original white dial that has a light cream hue from age, with applied rose gold hour markers and radium spots intact. A couple of marks are visible on the dial in the center under the hands and at the "t" of Cricket logo.
Original daphine rose gold hands, untouched and in very good condition. Original sweep seconds hand. Original black tipped alarm hand.
Caseback still in original unpolished condition, with light surface scratches.
Brand new distressed calfskin leather strap completes this timepiece nicely.

This Cricket comes in its original and in excellent (as new) condition boxes (outer/inner) and the Vulcain Guarrantie booklet (blank).

Calibre 120 was just serviced (June 2020) from one of the best watchmakers in EU as all of our watches and is ready to be enjoyed.
The watch comes with one year warranty on the movement.
