Making the transition from pocket to wristwatches, IWC presented the fabulous calibre 83 and produced from 1935 to 1947. Geneva Seal quality (although it doesn't have it), fausses cotes decoration, bimetallic screw balance, breguet hairspring and from 1943 with Incabloc option.
As many watchmakers say, a movement as well executed as a Patek Philippe!!
This is the heart of this beautiful, all original, 1945 IWC INCA.
Cal. 83 just serviced by Christian (watchguy) and as expected feels fresh as new.
Case is excellent, for a 75 years old timepiece. Unpolished, without hits, marks or corrosion anywhere, just very light surface scratches. Chamfering on the lugs still vivid!
Original crown.
Really stunning original dial has minimum patina, with that lovely sunburst big seconds subdial at 6. Arabic numerals with original lume material still in place that has turned into this creamy hue from age.
Original blue hour, minutes and subdial seconds hands. Original matching creamy lume material in both hands, but the minutes hand missing a piece, which I chose to leave as is, to keep the watch true and completely original.
Crystal is new and replaced in the service. Replaced crystal comes with the watch.
Snap case back is excellent as well, with unnoticeable surface scratches from handling and wearing the watch.
The watch comes with a JP Meniccuci exotic leather strap.
Case serial 1109235 and movement (with correct INCA inscription) serial 1084119 indicate the year of production to be 1945.
This IWC will be dispatched inside a two pocket, Abitspoilt leather roll.
One year warranty is also provided with the purchase.
