"A tool watch is used to accomplish specific tasks". Enicar was everywhere at the time (50s - 70s). Racing, underwater, up in the mountains.. Few watches come to mind instantly when tool watches are discussed, and a common duo is the Sherpa Ultradive and OPS with the characteristic Ervin Piquerez SA (EPSA) assymetric case.
97 examples are known (thanks to the relentless work of extraordinary collectors) to exist of the Sherpa OPS until now (2024), making it one of the most rare and collectible Enicars.
The example offered is a real beauty, to my eyes at least. An OPS that was used as intended, with obvious signs of use on the 40mm PVD case. Stunning original dial and inner ring, with original lume both on it and the hands. Original crowns. Caseback is overpolished by previous watchmakers, but doesn't affect that much the charm of the watch. This was created as a tool watch after all, not a safe queen.
This Enicar is serviced and comes with its box and one year warranty on the movement.
