Certina DS-2 Automatic "Certidate" ref. 5801 300, 1971

Despite being a big commercial success for Certina, the DS-2 is extremely difficult to find in excellent condition, not to mention in NOS form.
Stainless steel case at 37,5mm excluding the crown (40mm w/crown). Note: as shown in one picture from its service, the watch still had factory wax and sticker on the caseback when found. Because it was never opened though, the caseback was submerged in methylated spirit to dissolve the melted rubber gasket, resulting in losing most of the wax and sticker.
Wonderful spotless cream/silver dial and hands, with aged tritium intact.

Well known for its quality, precision and reliability, the in house Certina 25-651 automatic calibre was just serviced (10/2020) for the very first time since 1971 and is like new again (amp. 306° +3sec/day).
The watch comes with its original box and hang tags.
One year warranty on the movement comes with this Certina.
