Nivrel Rare Oversized Vintage Military Chronograph

€2.200,00 Sale price

Regular price €2.200,00

What a thrill it is every time a fully original and rare mid-century timepiece comes in your way and especially if it happens to survive all those years unscathed!

Nivrel was a sub brand of Marvin SA, created in 1936 to equip the military with watches during those turbulent times.

Here's a late 30s massive (for the time) chronograph in almost unworn condition!!

The case is mint and measures 40,5mm without the crown (44mm including the crown) x 46mm lug to lug. Base metal middle case with stainless steel caseback and stepped bezel.

Fixed spring bars.

Beautiful original white dial that turns cream with age, has a few signs from time that are rarely visible to be honest wearing and looking the watch on your wrist. Note that a macro lens is used always on my watches to show every little detail. Back to the dial that compliments those spotless blued hands perfectly!! Original lume still on the dial and hands.

Two versions of the Landeron 47 were made back then and here is the rarer of the two, with three pushers operating the chronograph, one for start, one for stopping and the middle one on the crown for resetting it. Just serviced and in excellent condition as well.

The watch comes with its Nivrel box and a 12 month warranty on the movement.
